Outreach

Working with the CMU Gelfand Center for Service Learning and Outreach, I developed an activity about my research on modular robotics for middle school students as part of the "road to research/meet the researcher" program. (March 2021)

I presented Biorobotics Lab robotics research to a non-academic audience at the inaugural Pittsburgh Nerd Nite, with a talk titled "Creeping, crawling, and collaborating: robots for every occasion" (April 2019)

I recorded an interview with the CMU Gelfand Center for Service Learning and Outreach, for the first episode of the “GO STEM show” series, discussing my path to graduate school along with two other graduate students. (Nov. 2020)

I authored a short summary of my research for the researcher spotlight series in the CMU Tartan Newpaper, Research Spotlight (April 2018)

I led Public Communications for Researchers, a CMU organization that taught graduate researchers to communicate about science with non-experts, and Science Non-Fiction, a blog written by graduate students in Pittsburgh.
